Fall 2010

Here's one of Brinlie's best "smiles" for the camera!
This one's not too bad, if only someone was there to get Grayson's attention
This one melts my mommy heart! Scott teaches Brinlie how to skip rocks across the pond.

Every fall we enjoy traveling up to Mueller State Park to see the changing leaves and of course take some family photos. This was Grayson's first trip and he really seemed to like the atmosphere and being outdoors. They have a short little hike around a pond with informational centers for the kids. Brinlie liked lifting the flaps and learning all about the pond life. This trip the leaves where we normally take our family photos were all gone, so we found a new favorite spot. This one is down by a pond with great rocks nearby. We ate our picnic and proceeded to attempt a family photo with only a tripod in hand. The wind was blowing like crazy and the kids were just not cooperating. Brinlie was being a typical 3 year old and giving her cheesiest smile for the camera. Seriously, what does it take to get two kids and two adults to all smile and look at the camera at the same time? A miracle, I guess. That or a professional photographer to take your picture instead of a tripod and self-timer!

Grayson is 6 months old!

Grayson hanging out at the park
"Seriously, what is she doing?!"
"I loved those sweet potatoes, Mom. See them all over my outfit?!"
Grayson putting his cute (almost as big as Brinlie's!) handprint on my plate from Color Me Mine.

It's already been 6 months since the birth of Grayson! He's such a big baby boy that it's hard to believe that he was 5 weeks early! Today he went in for his 6 month checkup and weighed 17 lbs 9 oz (67%), 26.5 inches (70%) and 17 in head cir (46%). He is such a sweet boy who loves to eat and has been sleeping through the night (Thank Goodness!!). Grayson can roll over from his back to belly, but often seems to get "stuck" on his belly. He is getting close to sitting up on his own and loves standing. Mostly Grayson likes people to interact and talk to him, his jumperoo, and anything that his big sister is doing!

Brinlie turns 3!

Here's Brin eating her birthday cupcake!

What a cheesy girl! What can I say, she loves sugar!
Her big girl bike. Now she just needs to grow more to reach the pedals better.

I can hardly believe it's been 3 years since the birth of my little sweet girl. In that time she's turned into an independent, high spirited child who loves to be the center of attention! Brinlie officially weighs 27 lbs (13th percentile--highest she's EVER been!), 34.5 inches (5th percentile). This girl is definitely going to give us a run for our money. She constantly is looking for ways to manipulate things so that they'll go her way. She's very bright and loves to play school (where she's the teacher, of course!). Brinlie also enjoys playing with her baby dolls and the new power tool set she received for her birthday! This is one well-rounded little girl. Last week she started a tumbling class and has already impressed the teacher with her fast learning and "listening skills" (Seriously?! She doesn't listen that well at home!) I just love it at night when I tuck her in and she whispers, "I love you Mommy. Sweet dreams!" What a sweetheart!! Help me remember this when I'm ripping my hair out in 10 years! :)

Happy Independence Day

My adorable kids on Independence day.
We just got done enjoying Eclipse!

Nosker family at the skating rink.

This fourth of July we stayed home and celebrated with our Colorado friends. On Friday we celebrated Carolyn's birthday with a party at a rollerskating rink and then going to Eclipse afterwards. That was great fun and Brin and I wore pigtails to join in the fun. On the actual holiday, we just stayed at home and enjoyed the day. Unfortunately Daddy had to work and didn't get off until later, so this really threw a wrench in our BBQ plans. Maybe next year!

Estes Park

Nosker family at the Willauer wedding.
Beautiful bride Tami and myself.
Rocky Mtn. National Park.

Last weekend we took a trip up to Estes Park for Tami and Chris' wedding. We'd never been there, but had heard many things about it. It's a quaint little town that I definitely will visit again. It's absolutely beautiful and you can't help but relax while you're there. Unfortunately I got sick while we were there and had to cut our trip short.

A Visit to the Aquarium

Sea Turtle!

A few weeks ago we took a trip up to Denver to visit the aquarium with our friends the McCallisters. We all had a great time. The girls especially liked seeing all of the different types of fish and sea life. Afterwards we had a great dinner at the Cheesecake Factory! YUM! We can't wait to go again--maybe when Grayson can thoroughly enjoy the views too!

May Adventures

Brinlie and Grayson hanging out on Mother's Day. I'm so blessed!
Aunt Lois' graduation in Las Vegas, NV.
Brinlie helping Daddy plant seeds for our garden. Notice the huge bandage on her chin that was the result of falling in the driveway. Fortunately no stitches were needed!
Grayson on his first horse ride with Grandpa W. He really seemed to enjoy it!

May was quite the busy month for us with two trips out of state. The first was to Las Vegas to celebrate Aunt Lois' graduation from Medical School! Grayson did great on his first plane ride and Brinlie was full of energy the entire trip. She loved staying up wayyyyyy tooooo late and visiting with all of the family. We spent time at the pool which both kids really enjoyed as well. Two weeks later we flew to UT for Grandma W's birthday and for the rest of the extended family to meet Grayson for the first time. We saw lots of family and celebrated with a big BBQ on Memorial Day. Both kids rode Grandpa's horse and he was thrilled! Brinlie also loved playing with her cousins on the huge swingset and spent many hours running up and sliding down the slides.
