Our Recent Trip

Here are just a few pics from our recent trip back to UT. This one wasn't as long, but we had a great time.

A Girl and Her Dog

Dax is awfully fond of his Brinlie. When she first came home, he decided that she was his. He's very protective of her and lets other dogs know it, including Mocha at times. Mocha is ok with this because she's not so sure about having Brinlie pull at her fur, feet and tail. Dax loves any attention he can get from her and puts up with her curiosity. Every morning when Brinlie first sees the dogs, she lets out her excited squeal of delight! It's soooo cute! The only bad thing--we have to be careful about which toys are left out--the dogs will claim them as theirs if it's stuffed or squeaks.

Big kisses!

Happy 4th of July!

Here are a few pics of Brinlie's 4th of July attire. Her Mommy loves Red, White and Blue! This year we went to Denver to the Donahoes for a BBQ. Brinlie stayed up late, but was a really good girl the whole time!

All American Baby--sorta...part Japanese too!
Soooo cute!

T-R-O-U-B-L-E

Now that Brinlie is very mobile, she gets into a lot of things that one just didn't think about needing childproofing. Some of her favorites are bookshelves and any cords. Yep. I think we have a reader on our hands. On Thursday she started climbing the stairs all by herself. I can't believe how big she's getting. This kiddo is making me keep my house cleaner. She does a trick called the "human vacuum" where she eats anything that's on the floor. She finds the tiniest piece of lint and puts it in her mouth. YUCK! Needless to say, she just turns and gives me the biggest smile when she's doing things she knows she's not supposed to!

"I love any and all cords! What do these ones do?"
"What good books does Daddy have in here?"
"I found Daddy's comics! I'm sure he won't mind the slober!"
"Wait a minute. Why is this metal gate here? Dax and I want to go downstairs!"

Denver Zoo Pics

Having a baby really makes you branch out and experience new things. We've been wanting to go to the Denver Zoo for quite some time, but just got around to it yesterday! (Slackers, I know!) Brinlie had a great time seeing everything and loves being toted around by Daddy in her pack.

Cheetah...Brinlie will later ride one on the carousel.

The Noskers distant relative, the penguin. For those of you who don't know, Daddy is commonly referred to as the penguin because he freezes everyone out! The only exception was when Mommy was pregnant last summer and she actually froze him out!!!

A Day of Firsts

Yesterday we decided to take a trip to the Denver Zoo. We all had a great time seeing many animals and introducing Brinlie to new things. First, she told me that she wanted to take a cheetah for a spin on the Carousel. I was happy to oblige, but didn't realize just how high up these animals go! Note to self: I need to wear my "tall" sandals on days like this. Anyways, when the carousel first started moving, Brinlie let out this really loud excited scream that she does. The whole time she would just smile, scream and wave at everyone---except when we came around to where Daddy was. (Doesn't that figure??!!) It was adorable! I see the Noskers taking many more rides on carousels.

Her next "first" was trying out Mommy's ice cream cone. It was rather warm out and she was just dying for a taste of ice cream. I decided it was time to introduce her. At first I tried having her lick the cone, but it just got all over her face. Next, I gave her tastes off my finger. Needless to say, she loved the stuff!!

"I own this cheetah!"

Family Kimono

This kimono has been worn by many of the women in the Nosker family, including Aunt Lois and Grandma N. (And I think even Great Grandma Sumiko too!)

"And lastly, here's the back accented with a bow."
