Who says being Mommy is a hard job? Not Brinlie!

Brinlie and her Daddy often visit Mommy at her work. Brin loves to see all of my coworkers and show off her cute clothes. Here she is on Thursday busily working on my computer. I guess the only good thing about Daddy working a night shift is that he's able to bring Brin by on my lunch break for a quick visit. :)

"No more schedule changes! Sorry! What my mommy says, goes!"
"But I don't know how to help you--I'm just here to look cute!"

I gotta new do!

What's going on here?

Brinlie had her first haircut this week. When Daddy came home, it took him about 5 minutes before he realized it was cut. (Typical, huh??!!) Anyway, she looks even more adorable and they gave us a cute certificate with her little locks attached. She only had the front cut--I couldn't stand for her to lose her curls. Daddy knew telling me she has a "baby mullet" would get me wound up--it's not a mullet, it's growing out.

More Halloween

At my work it's tradition to dress up as a theme for each Halloween. This year we were Snow White and the Six dwarfs--our seventh dwarf was sleeping on the job! Anyway, here's some fun pics from yesterday. The students and staff love to see what theme we pick each year. Above is myself and Deb--my friend and personal assistant--I couldn't do my job without her!

Happy Halloween!

This was a much funner Halloween than last year. I actually picked this costume up for her last year (size 0-6 months), but it was obviously HUGE on her then. This year it fit perfectly! Everyone loved the little ladybug costume. We only were able to trick-or-treat at four houses this year. All of them were people we know and we'd spend about 15-20 minutes at each place. Needless to say, Brinlie was exhausted and overtired when we finally got home.

FINALLY---One year photos!

Hooray! We finally had Brinlie's one year pictures done today and I couldn't wait to share with everyone. She was such a cutie and really liked the cameras. Overall we're pleased with what we got from our very independent and mobile child! Now we just need to figure out the family christmas pics.

She was going to grab the feather duster they use to get her attention.
I love this shot!
"I'm so sweet and innocent...not exactly!"
At least I'm taller than this pillar....I'm just not as tall as 94% of babies my age.

We LOVE Fall!!!

October 2007--Brin 1 month old. Daddy still has mohawk from work bet. Mommy still has baby belly.
October 2008--Brin 13 months old, Mommy still has baby bellly. Daddy has "normal" haircut.

In case you weren't aware, we (ok, I) LOVE Fall!!! I love Halloween, wearing sweaters with jeans, changing colors of the leaves, football, and the beauty of it all. Each year I can hardly wait until September 1st because that's the earliest Daddy allows me to put up my pumpkins and such. However, I do not love the fact that it means winter is right around the corner. Once again we went up to the mountains to see the changing of the leaves. Last year Brin was only 1 month old when we ventured up there. It's hard to believe how much she's grown! Next weekend we'll celebrate 5 years of marriage! 5 Years! My how time flies when you're having fun!

Bowling Adventure

Brinlie and I went bowling with a few girlfriends last weekend while Daddy worked. Brinlie had a great time running around, exploring the bowling alley. She really enjoyed the fan that's located by the balls. It seems like I bowled better when she was in the backpack--strange, I know. All in all, it was a good experience. Something that would've been easier with Daddy there--maybe next time.

The fan blowing Brin's hair back! Too cute!
